About Acupuncture

  • Acupuncture has been studied for nearly 3000 years and works on a theory of the flow of “Qi” and Blood through our body. This flow is facilitated by meridians, or energy lines in our body.  By accessing the these meridians, acupuncture helps to heal the body by restoring balance.

  • Acupuncture works directly on the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) by stimulating our Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous systems. This system has the purpose of creating homeostasis and balance. When the ANS is accessed and balanced, health and wellness can be restored.

I am Kati Crissman. I found a passion for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2019 after acupuncture profoundly changed my health. I continue to work as a Registered Nurse and have for 8 years. I earned my Masters in Acupuncture at the Colorado Chinese Medicine University. Having been trained in both western and eastern medicine, my approach to health is through both lenses. I strive to be a bridge between the two medicines by providing excellent acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine with a background knowledge and experience in critical care nursing.

I have a special interest in Woman’s Health and Sports Medicine but provide acupuncture for many different internal medicine disorders.

Personally, I enjoy riding horses, the outdoors, reading and spending time with my family. I have one daughter (thanks to acupuncture and surrogacy).

I look forward to helping you with your health and wellness.
